Monique Bloedau, LMFT, Bereavement Counselor
Since 2019, Monique has provided individual and group counseling to clients as they navigate the difficult landscape of their grief, including anticipatory grief, traumatic loss, and prolonged grief. She has worked with diverse populations, including adolescents in local secondary schools, offering support with grief processing, trauma recovery, and emotional healing. Monique’s approach is psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed. She integrates evidence-based modalities, mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness to help individuals coping with profound loss. She is committed to helping clients build resilience, process emotions, and find meaning after loss. Monique is a graduate of UCSB and Pacifica Graduate Institute and received clinical training from CALM, and Community Counseling and Education Center. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and being in nature.
